Happy early Christmas, Mets Fans! Yo is Back!

The Mets have reportedly signed their free agent outfielder, Yoenis Cespedes.  The deal is supposed to be for 4 years and $110 million dollars, pending a physical.

It's a lot of money, but without Cespedes the Mets lineup went cold. He's one of the best hitters in all of baseball, and he hasn't just done well, he has THRIVED in New York City....and that's not always easy to do.

I've already seen a few people worried about how the Mets aren't going to be able to pay their young pitchers when they get to free agency. Don't even begin to worry about that.

These players have left or will have left by the end of the 2017 season:

Bartolo Colon
Jay Bruce
Curtis Granderson
Asdrubal Cabrera
Neil Walker

Those 5 players represent over $44 million bucks. Plus Duda will probably be on his way out and I doubt they can resign Addison Reed if he has another season like he did this year.

Long story short; the Mets are in great shape for the next few years. Stop worrying and enjoy the moment!
