The RA Dickey trade may go down as one of the most roster-changing events the Mets have ever experienced.

First off, they traded their Cy Young award winning ace. That's a pretty bold move to begin with. Off went 38-year-old RA to Toronto with Josh Thole and Mike Nickeas for Noah Syndergaard, Travis d'Arnaud, John Buck and Wuilmer Becerra.

We all know what Noah is these days. He has a chance to be the best pitcher in the game, and that's not being hyperbolic. tDa (when he's not on the DL) can be a power hitting monster in the middle of the lineup. John Buck was traded, along with Marlon Byrd, to Pittsburgh for Dilson Herrera and Vic Black. Black is currently rehabbing, and tweets constantly about the Mets and NY. Hopefully he finds his way back to the bigs with them. Dilson is the starting 2nd baseman in Las Vegas and, after dealing with a back injury, is currently entering beast mode. Last night, he went 3 for 6 with a home run and a double.  He's slated to take over 2nd next year if Neil Walker leaves, and he's only 22. He could be a dynamic player for the Mets for the next decade.

Thats's A LOT. But the forgotten piece of that trade is Wuilmer Becerra. The outfielder was all of 17 when the trade was made and has slowly been putting his skills together in the minors with the Mets.

First off, lots of people on the internet have compared him to Vlad Guerrero. I'd like to state, for the record, no. There's only one Vlad Guerrero. Vlad The Impaler only spent 3 years in the minors and had oodles of power. Bucerra has never hit double digit home runs in the minors in one season. He doesn't seem to have a TON of power, but he's still only 21 and power is very often the last thing to show up for players as they mature. He plays right field but he's been sitting in the DH spot, since he has a sore shoulder currently.

And that apparently hasn't stopped his ability to hit. Wuilmer is hitting .415 for the season and a ridiculous .541 in his past 10 games. Let that sink in. For the past 10 games, he's batting better than 50%. It's actually kind of hard to comprehend. He only has 6 doubles and no home runs, but with his shoulder issue you wouldn't expect much power. His manager in the Florida State league expects him to hit 20 or more home runs a season once he gets to the big leagues, plus add in over 20 steals.

Plus he has a REALLY good arm in the outfield.

So, the Mets may have traded a 38 year old pitcher and a back up catcher for a possible Cy Young winning pitcher, a borderline all star catcher (if he can stay healthy) an older catcher who they flipped for a player who could be a fantastic second baseman, AND a sweet swinging, base stealing outfielder with a great arm.

It's already close to the best trade the Mets have ever made, but if Wuilmer lives up to his potential, it might turn into one of the best trades in MLB history.
