After a joint 3 month investigation a Middletown man was arrested following several reported fraud cases in Orange and Sullivan Counties.

The investigation, led by the City of Port Jervis Police Department and the New York State Police, determined that 22-year-old Rahmeek Pacheco allegedly stole checks from various victims while conducting service calls for a cable sub-contractor service.

The Middletown man was charged with 2 counts of 2nd-degree forgery, 2 counts of 2nd-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, grand larceny, and 2 counts of petit larceny.

Pacheco was sent to Orange County Jail on $15,000 cash and $45,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Port Jervis City Court on May 23.
