Police say fingerprints left at a home that was burglarized led them to arrest a Monticello man.

New York State Police in Middletown arrested 30-year-old Jamil T. Fasenntao, of Monticello for 2nd-degree burglary.

Fasenntao was arrested Tuesday after an investigation into the burglary of a home in the Town of Wawayanda in 2015.

Police say fingerprints recovered at the scene were later matched to Fasenntao by the New York State Police crime laboratory in Albany.

Fasenntao was arraigned in the Town of Wawayanda Court and remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $75,000 secured bond. He was ordered to return to court on June 23.
