Motorcyclepedia: The Family Business Is Motorcycles [VIDEO]

In the late 1940s, Gerald Doering’s father bought his first motorcycle. What followed was a labor of love and over 60 years of collecting motorcycles. It didn’t take long for the motorcycle bug to bite his son Ted as well. In 2011 the father and son team opened up Motorcyclepedia in Newburgh.

The museum features over 500 bikes dating back to the 1890s. Motorcyclepedia will make any bike fan feel like a kid in a candy store, but the museum also has enough to rev the engines of everyone.

The 85,000-square-foot gallery includes bikes from the Hudson Valley, Hollywood, World War 2, Choppers from the '60s, a police Harley that was part of JFK’s motorcade on the day the President was killed, and much more!
