National Dress Your Pet Day, How Brandi Celebrates

So you did not win the Powerball jackpot and you are looking for something else to celebrate today? How about National Dress Your Pet Day? I personally consider this to be the rule of my house. No, I am not a "Crazy Dress My Pets To Look Like Me" type of a person, but I have small dogs and when the weather gets cold, they get cold. Thus, I bust out their respective sweater collections.

Ava, my female Yorkie Silky, has quite the wardrobe, but other than her sweater you will rarely see her dressed up. Just the sweater in the winter or on cooler days if she has recently been to the groomers.

Scrappy, my male Yorkie Silky, he is quite the different story. This is because, I consider him to be my shaker. Literally, he shakes when he gets even the slightest bit cold. So he is constantly wearing a sweater from Labor Day to Memorial Day, and he does not mind.

The person who came up with this day, made it official in 2009, so it has only been around for a few years, don't feel slighted if you didn't know that it is a "real day."
