URGENT

Police officials report the arrest of two Ulster County residents for heroin and cocaine trafficking. The Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team otherwise know as URGENT had been investigating drug trafficking in the Town of Saugerties and northern Ulster County after receiving information regarding the activity.

According to Hudson Valley News Network 25 year old Tristan A. Mortensen of Saugerties and a 24 year old Kingston woman were arrested after a traffic stop in the town of Ulster. The sheriffs office reports 98 bags of heroin, 3 grams of crack cocaine and assorted pharmaceuticals.

Mortensen has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (intent to sell), Tampering with Physical Evidence, Conspiracy 4th Degree and the misdemeanors of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, all felonies. The driver was charged with the misdemeanors of Criminal Facilitation in the 4th Degree and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree.
