Ever wondered how you get so hooked on certain shows? Netflix has wondered this too. And they're figuring it out.

Of course, the model of television that Netflix has embraced is very different from that of traditional TV; rather than weekly installments, Netflix throws you huge chunks of content and lets you watch it however you want to.

The Netflix binge phenomenon has been well-documented and referenced, but the company wanted to know how real it was and how they could use it to their advantage.

What they learned, in short, is that every show has a threshold for binge-watching. At a certain episode point, 70% of users continue to watch until the end of the series.
