30 years ago Bob Geldof got musicians into a studio to record a Christmas Song, with the proceeds going to fight hunger in Africa. This year he is getting a list of celebrities together to mark the 30th anniversary. Who is on that list and why are they getting together?

Chris Martin, Bono, Bastille, Elbow, and Ed Sheeran will all be part of Bob Geldof's updated Band Aid.  The Boomtown Rats frontman and philanthropist announced at a press conference in London Monday that he plans to re-record the supergroup's 1984 charity single "Do They Know It's Christmas?"  And while Bono can claim to be part of both versions, most of the lineup is comprised of next generation stars like One Direction and Sam Smith.  Geldof says money raised from the 30th anniversary single will go toward the efforts to fight Ebola.
