(Warning: Goofy inventors looking for free press on Shark Tank in video above.)

Well, kind of.

In essence, KSafe is a new electronic gizmo with a time or app specific unlocking mechanism. What that means is that you put whatever you want to keep away from in the KSafe, set certain parameters to the time-lock, or step counter/location finder on the app, and this little sucker won't let you in to gobble your most coveted ass-expanding snacks until you've walked off enough calories or got to the gym. It also won't let you binge eat in the middle of the night.

As much as I love the idea of this, can't you just delete the app and reset the KSafe whenever you want? Sure, you're adding an extra step to your snacking but does it really matter in the end?

Plus, if someone else tries to do this to your guilty food pleasures, hammers are pretty cheap at any local hardware store.

If you want to try the KSafe out, you can nab one over at Kickstarter. They're still under their primary goals, but they have 44 days to go.
