New Paltz Turkey Trot Tradition Continues Thanksgiving Day

Looking for a great way to get some exercise before eating that big turkey dinner on Thanksgiving day? Then you will have even more motivation to participate in the annual New Paltz Turkey Trot to benefit Family of New Paltz.

The Turkey Trot is an annual 5K race/walk for individuals, groups and all ages. The moneys raised from the day will benefit Family of New Paltz’s Food Pantry and Crisis Services.

There will be prizes this year for participants in age and gender categories for best times, with medals awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each division. Not a super star runner? No worries, there will also be prizes for best t-shirt, best costume and for the Mashed Potato Run, which is for kids 12 and under.

How to be a part of it? You can register in advance at NewPaltzTurkeyTrot.com for a savings. Day of registration prices are as follows, $30 for ages 13-64 and $15 for those 12 yrs & under and 65 & older.
