The Expanse dropped a new trailer at Comic-Con last week, and my GOODNESS am I excited for it.

SyFy the past few years has really dropped the ball on true science fiction stories. Sure, Eureka was fun and Haven could distract you for awhile, but ultimately they felt a little flat to me. And the acting was VERY forced. The sense of tension was kinda silly at times.

The Expanse is a GREAT book, first and foremost. I nabbed it from a friend in the book biz and finished it in a few days. It's fast paced, has a great idea of future tech, and a terrific protagonist/antagonist relationship.

And from the looks of the trailers they've been putting out, this might be the show sci-fi fans have been hoping for since Battlestar Galactica went down in flames a year years ago. (Personally, I loved the way they tied everything together at the end, but I'm in the minority.)

I can only hope it lives up to the hype.
