New York State Police Crackdown on NYS Thruway

If you travel the New York State Thruway be aware.

The New York State police have announced the launch of "Operation Work Brake." The operation according to the State police will focus on bad driving habits and aggressive drivers in and around construction zones.

The five-day enforcement period began Monday July 13 and will continue through Friday, July 17.

Driving aggressively or speeding around these zones not only put the driver and other drivers at risk but also jeopardize the construction workers working in these zones.

The State Police did a similar crackdown last summer that netted around 2,500 tickets.

PLEASE avoid the possibility on a ticket and pay attention and slow down, especially in construction zones.
