Newburgh police are hoping for help as they continue to investigate two bank robberies.

According to Town of Newburgh Police, the first robbery happened around noon on January 3, at the Chase Bank on Route 9W, near interstate 84 in the Town of Newburgh.

The robber was completely disguised and wore a mask, officials say. He showed a gun and obtained an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robber then fled in a red car that was reported stolen in the City of Newburgh earlier that day, police say.

The second robbery happened around 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Wells Fargo Bank located in the Mid Valley Mall on North Plank Road .

The suspect, pictured above, is described a white or light skinned male, thin build wearing glasses a black Nike hooded sweatshirt, with light digital camouflage pants and utility gloves.

In this case, no weapon was displayed. The man fled on foot after receiving and undisclosed amount of cash.

There is no evidence at this time to connect the two robberies, police say.
