Nominated for Best Documentary, Outstanding Writing, Directing, Cinematography, Picture Editing, Sound Editing, and Sound Mixing is Brett Morgen's Kurt Cobain documentary "Montage of Heck".

Nominated for Best Information Series or Special, Outstanding Directing, Sound Editing, and Sound Mixing is Dave Grohl's, "Sonic Highways".

The Emmy Awards ceremony will take place on September 20, 2015, Andy Samberg is set to host.
