Coffee fans are going to be very happy to hear about a new place to hang out. It's the new North River Roasters Coffee house at the Poughkeepsie Underwear Factory.

I was just reading the last line and thought, if you are not from around here you have got to think that a coffee house at an underwear factory sounds weird. Well it's not and the North River Coffee House just had a "soft opening" on Monday at the newly renovated Poughkeepsie Underwear Factory.

The Underwear Factory is going to help revitalize Poughkeepsie and if you haven't been there yet, take a ride over and check the place out.

North River Roasters have been here since 2015 and now you can get their fresh brew and relax in the new coffee shop. The Poughkeepsie Journal reports that there are some unique options offered by North River Roasters.

The coffee roaster offers a Community Supported Coffee Roasting, a program similar to a Community Supported Agriculture in which customers can subscribe and pick up fresh-roasted coffee on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

The shop will also let you contribute a couple of bucks to buy a cup of coffee for someone in need. Environmentally friendly and totally organic, this place will also offer some treats like bagels and muffins to eat.

North River Roasters official Grand Opening is on May 15th. Stop by and bring some friends. This coffee is good for you and great for the City of Poughkeepsie.
