November could be a warmer than average month for the Hudson Valley and Eastern US. The powerful El Nino over the Pacific, will draw warmer air from the South which will keep the East mild for the first week of the month. Some parts of the Northeast could see record high's this week.

Meteorologists say some periods of cold air could briefly affect the Northeast, Great Lakes, and northern Plains, however most of the number of calendar days (days and nights) with above-normal temperatures will exceed the number of calendar days with below-average temperatures.

According to Accuweather, average temperatures fall by approximately a degree every two to three days during November. However, temperatures some days will range from 10 to 20 degrees above normal in portions of the East during the first half of the month.

So if you're not yet quite ready for winter, then you might be in luck!
