It looks like FanDuel and DraftKings are going to be in the middle of a very long legal battle in New York State, but won't be allowed to operate in it until that process is over.

New York Supreme Court Justice Manuel Mendez did not rule that the daily fantasy sites were illegal, but ordered the sites shut down, granting the Attorney General his injunction, and also ruled that NYS would most likely win it's case if it went to trial, according to Reuters.

FanDuel and DraftKings have stated they plan to appeal.

New York joins Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana, Montana, Nevada, and Washington in banning these daily fantasy sports sites. If you'd like to move to a state that DOESN'T forbid these activities, check out LegalSportsReport.com.

I think it's safe to say that if you have any money in those sites, you should think about getting it out as soon as possible.

Whether you agree or disagree with the ruling, at least we'll have less commercials from them, and thank goodness for that.
