NYC Road Closures And Parade Route For The Macy’s Day Parade 2018

The annual Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parade is on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, 2018.

Ah yes, it's finally here: the annual Macy's Day Parade. I've only been to the parade once and it was actually on the coldest Thanksgiving on record in New York City. But I bet that's about to change this year.

A lot of people in the Hudson Valley travel down to the city for family and friend visits for the Thanksgiving holiday, and for obviously, the parade. If you're headed down for the parade this year or just a visit to the city, you should take notice of these road closures reported by AM New York, starting Wednesday, November 21:

• Central Park West from West 73rd to 85th streets
• West 74th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West
• West 75th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West
• West 76th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West
• West 77th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West
• West 78th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West
• West 80th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West
• West 81st Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West
• West 82nd Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West
• West 83rd Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West
• West 84th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West
• West 85th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West
• Central Park Transverse Road at Central Park West and West 81 Street

These streets are closed starting at 8 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day:

These streets are closed between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving:

• Eighth Avenue between West 57th and West 59th streets
• Eighth Avenue between West 33rd and West 40th streets
• Broadway between 59th and 57th streets
• Broadway between West 34th and West 40th streets (only escorted deliveries)
• 42nd Street between Fifth and Eighth avenues
• 57th Street between Fifth and Eighth avenues
