The New York State Thruway seems to resemble a parking lot in many areas Monday afternoon.

Your commute home is off to an awful start this week, and Interstate-84 isn't to blame this time.

The New York State Thruway is experiencing multiple mile delays, making your drive home much tougher.

According to WRRV Traffic Reporter, Andrienne Watson, The New York State Thruway southbound is backed up 8 miles in the Hurley area, another 6 miles in the New Paltz area, and 3 more miles in the New Windsor area.

If possible find alternate routes, until this congestion can clear on the New York Thruway.
