The Office of Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus has announced that Orange County will be once again holding its annual tradition of  'Senior Olympics' September 7-18, 2016. This will be the 33rd year of the competition that features seniors ages 55 and up. Is it just who can run the farthest or jump the highest? No its not. This competition has a bit of a twist, seniors participate in a variety of events featuring not only some friendly competition but also a variety of contests, museum tours and other social activities for men and women of the over 55 age group.

According to a press release, many of the events also include refreshments, lunch and or breakfast. Plus, there will also be medals handed out in 6 different age group categories, with each participant receiving a ribbon, t-shirt and the opportunity to win several other prizes.
