Now THIS is a holiday I can get behind! American beer drinkers salute the red white and blue of beer brewers by enjoying their favorite fermented libations. While Bud & Bud Light are the most popular American beers, there are in fact, over 2,100 breweries on US soil!

The United States consumes an average of 20 gallons of beer per person each year, that's a lot of suds. The most popular style brewed by major American brewing companies is American Lager. A boom in microbreweries in the past few decades showed and increase in the number of other American varieties. American pale ale, Pennsylvania porter, American IPA, steam beer, amber ale, cream ale and Cascadian dark ale are all styles that originated here in America.

Tonight at the WRRV Boo Ball I'll be raising a glass to all American Beer Brewers as I salute the time honored tradition of kicking back and sipping sensational adult beverages crafted here.
