Tinted windows led to the arrest of an Orange County woman for allegedly driving with a stun gun.

On Monday, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested 36-year-old Desiree L. Torres of Newburgh for third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony.

Around 1 p.m. Monday, State Police conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 for an alleged unlawful window tint. During the traffic stop, the driver, Torres, was found to be in possession of an electronic stun gun, police say.

Torres was arraigned at the Town of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. She’s due in Town of Fishkill Court on Wednesday.
