Original Nintendo Just Turned 30
Everyday, I'm reminded more and more of how old I am. THIS particular historical note is a slap in the face.
Nintendo officially launched in the US on October 18th in 1985. It's officially old. And I remember playing all those games in the commercial above until my thumbs had blisters on them and wouldn't bend correctly.
Today, we have Facebook buying virtual reality companies, Microsoft lets 12 year olds from Malaysia snipe you in the latest amazing Halo game, and I'm currently addicted to an online card game similar to Magic: The Gathering.
But I honestly don't know if I'll EVER have the sheer amount of joy I had at beating the original Zelda or Mega Man again.
