An Oscar winner was recently spotted in two different local counties.

Marisa Tomei, came to the local area to film a number of scenes in Cornwall and Saugerties for her upcoming movie, Shotgun, the Hudson Valley Film Commission tells Hudson Valley Post.

Tomei won an Academy Award for Best Support Actress in My Cousin Vinny.

Filming has wrapped on the romantic comedy that also stars Maikia Monroe of Independence Day: Resurgence, Jeremy Allen White of Shameless and Gina Gershon of Face/Off.

Shotgun, is one of seven feature films that held productions in the area since the film tax incentive program was extended to the Mid-Hudson Valley in November of 2016.

“Currently, we are working with 30 potential productions including several union films and a SHOWTIME TV SERIES,” the Hudson Valley Film Commission said in an email to Hudson Valley Post. ”The majority of the productions that end up in the region are high quality low budget independent films with budgets between $500 thousand and $1.5 million.”
