Peanut butter is creating headlines again. This time it does not have anything to do with salmonella. It has to do with caffeine.

In the interest of animal and human safety, Senator Chuck Schumer is urging the FDA to take a look at this new caffeinated peanut butter. The product is called "STEEM Peanut Butter" and contains 170 milligrams of caffeine. Let's put that in to perspective, that is five times the amount of caffeine that you will find in a can of Coke and twice the amount as a Red Bull.

The reason he wants to the Fed's to look into this is because peanut butter is a staple in 94-percent of American households, and this "STEEM" could pose some real health problems to children, pregnant women and even pets.

What do you think? Would this make a difference in your Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich? Could it help you avoid getting tired after your lunch break?

*Note* Do not give your pets STEEM Peanut Butter.
The dogs in the following video were NOT given STEEM
