The 171st Dutchess County Fair opens tomorrow.

We are all excited for this years fair and local police have released some traffic reminders for all of us to remember this week if your traveling up to the fair this year.

According to a press release from the New York State Police, if you are coming from north or south you should use Route 9 and Route 9G to get to the Fairgrounds. If you are coming from the East they say you should use Route 308 to Route 9 North and if you are coming from the west you should use Route 199, to Route 9G South, to Route 9 South.

Police say that the heaviest traffic will most likely take place between the hours of 4-7PM. Tuesday through Sunday, and fairgoers should also expect heavy traffic after the stage shows which usually end between 9-10PM.

Police also want to remind any visitors to this years fair that all are subject to bag inspections while entering or inside the fairgrounds.
