More than 100 marijuana plants were seized from a property in Dutchess County.

New York State Police from the Dover Plains barracks seized over 100 marijuana plants from a man's property. A trooper on patrol noticed the plants growing on the East Duncan Hill Road property, which lead to the bust.

Probably not the smartest move to grow your illegal drugs in plain sight, but what do I know?

Joel Clements, 32, of Dover, was arrested and charged with unlawful growing of cannabis and criminal possession of marijuana, a felony.

Clements was arraigned and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled back in court at a later date.

This is the second large marijuana plant seizure in Dover in less than a week. On Friday, New York State Police found 14 fully grown marijuana plants on Oniontown Road. Police charged George Anderson, 55, of Dover Plains and charged him with unlawful growing of cannabis and criminal possession of marijuana in the Oniontown Road incident, which also stemmed from troopers observing plants growing on the property.

It was not immediately clear if there was any connection between the East Duncan Hill Road grow and the smaller Onion Road one less than four miles away.
