A Hudson Valley man is accused of operating a “sophisticated indoor growing operation,” with nearly $1 million worth of weed in his home. This marks the man’s second arrest for a weed growing operation since 2016.

Acting on information developed by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Gang and Narcotics Intelligence Unit, deputies from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on Wednesday at a home on Roe Road in Bloomingburg.

At the location, deputies found a sophisticated indoor growing operation complete with special lights and a ventilation system, police say.

Approximately 396 plants weighing in excess of 200 pounds were allegedly seized. According to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, the marijuana has a street value of approximately $800,000.

Isaac Lugo, 30, of Goshen was charged with criminal possession of marijuana, a felony, and unlawfully growing cannabis, a misdemeanor

Lugo is currently on probation for a previous arrest in 2016 related to a marijuana growing operation in the Town of Minisink, police say.

Lugo was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail without bail. He is due back in court on April 21.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by U.S. Homeland Security Investigations and the Town of Warwick Police Department.
