A Hudson Valley man was arrested for endangering a child after he was accused of threatening pulling a gun on an 11-year-old.

On Wednesday police were informed of a 45-year-old man who allegedly got in a heated argument with an 11-year-old boy. Police say Ronald J. Swift Jr. from Rosedale was yelling at the child and during the altercation threatened to pull out a gun and shoot him.

According to investigators, this was not the first argument Swift had engaged in with the 11-year-old. During some of those altercations police say Swift even made comments of a sexual nature to the boy. The 45-year-old was arrested by Kingston police on Thursday and held at the police department while awaiting arraignment in Kingston City Court.
