Police: Hudson Valley Man Threatened to Shoot Family Member and Pointed Rifle at Police
A Hudson Valley man was arrested after police say he threatened to shoot a family member and later pointed a rifle at officers.
Ramapo Police responded to a home in the Village of Kaser after a report that a man was threatening to shoot a family member.
When police arrived, 23-year-old Pinthus Rosner, of Monsey ran and locked himself inside a bathroom. After authorities entered the bathroom he allegeldy pointed a rifle at officers.
One officer grabbed the barrel of the rifle and pushed it toward the ceiling. A struggled ensued. During the struggle Rosner allegeldy repeatedly punched an officer in the head.
Rosner was charged with 2nd-degree assault, 2nd-degree menacing, 4th-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and resisting arrest.
Rosner was arraigned yesterday in Ramapo Justice Court and released on bail pending a court date later this month.
