Police Investigate Fatal Crash in Columbia County

Police are investigating a 2-car crash that occurred Thursday afternoon on route 9G.  

New York State Police along with the Germantown Fire Department are investigating a two-car fatal accident that occurred at 4 pm just south of Palatine Park Road on State Route 9G in the Town of Germantown.

The load of a commercial vehicle traveling northbound on 9G was struck by a passenger car traveling southbound.

The operator of the passenger car is subsequently deceased.

State Route 9G, in the area of Palatine Road was closed for over two hours following the crash.

There is no further information at this time pending family notification.
