Police: Kingston Man Attempted to Stab Person
A wild Saturday night in Kingston could have turned deadly when a man allegedly attempted to stab another person.
On Saturday just before midnight, Kingston Police responded to the area of Broadway and Elmendorf Street in the City of Kingston for reports of an altercation.
Juan T. Diaz, 32, of Kingston is accused of displaying a switchblade knife at an unidentified person and lunging at the unnamed individual.
Diaz was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing. He is being held at the Kingston Police department awaiting arraignment.
