A man is accused of violating an order of protection and dragging a woman into a wooded area in Dutchess County.

Saturday evening, State Police from Poughkeepsie were called to a Hisbicus Circle home after a neighbor reported a physical domestic disturbance. With the help of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, Perkins was found in the area of Vista Way and arrested. When police learned that Perkins violated an active court order of protection by having physical contact with the unnamed victim he was charged with criminal contempt, a class E felony

Perkins was arraigned in the Town of Beekman Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to the Beekman Justice Court on Sept. 22.
