Kingston Woman Killed in Hit-And-Run

Police are hoping for help as they continue to investigate the death of a 23-year-old Hudson Valley woman.

On Sept. 20, Kingston Police responded to Bruyn Avenue following a report of a dispute. When police arrived, they didn’t a find a dispute, but a female lying motionless on the road.

The female, later identified as 23-year-old Ashlee Crescione of Kingston, suffered a severe head injury. She was transported to Albany Medical Center, where she died a few days later.

Following an extensive police investigation, which included many interviews and review of evidence, police believe that there was a dispute between Crescione and a white male.

Witnesses described the man as a white male in his 20s or 30s, with dirty blond hair and piercing blue eyes.

During the dispute, the man got into his new style gray minivan, possibly with tinted rear windows, and started to drive off, police say. As the minivan was leaving, Crescione was dragged for a short distance and fell to the ground, striking her head which caused the fatal injuries.

The minivan was last seen leaving the area.
