A Hudson Valley man is accused of leading police on an over 120 mile per hour chase throughout Sullivan County. A chase that ended at a medical center.

Juan Chan-Garcia, 33, of Monticello was charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment, reckless driving and obstructing governmental administration, misdemeanors. He was also given 10 vehicle and traffic tickets.

At 5:40 PM Monday, Monticello Police allegedly spotted Chan-Garcia drive through a red light on Liberty Street and a stop sign on North Street in the Village of Monticello.

When officers attempted to stop Chan-Garcia he fled, speeding away and unsafely passing other vehicles on the left side of the road, authorities say.

Chan-Garcia led police on an over 120 mile per hour chase on Route 17 in the Town of Thompson. He exited and exit 102 in Harris and drove onto the grounds of the Catskill Regional Medical Center. That's where his blue 2016 BMW M3 was boxed in and Chan-Garcia as taken into custody.

Chan-Garcia was released on $500 bail to reappear at the Village of Monticello Justice Court on Sept. 29.

New York State Police assisted Monticello Police during the incident.
