A man and a woman are facing a number of drug charges after being arrested on Sunday. NY State Police in Monroe stopped a vehicle on Route 17 driven by 40-year-old Andrew R. Mitchell of Chester for multiple traffic violations.

The Times Herald Record reports that during the subsequent interview process, Mitchell's passenger, 25-year-old Ashley N. Lovelace of Chester, told police she had heroin in her bra. Police say about 367 grams of heroin - more than 1,200 decks - were seized overall from the vehicle.

Mitchell was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and seventh-degree possession. Lovelace was charged with seventh-degree possession.

Mitchell was arraigned at Town of Monroe Court and sent to Orange County Jail without bail. Lovelace was released on an appearance ticket.
