Police are searching for answers and asking for the public’s assistance after a man was stabbed at the Newburgh waterfront.

Sunday around 1:55 a.m., City of Newburgh Police responded to St. Lukes Hospital after a hospital worker said a man came in with a stab wound.

Police say an investigation determined that the stabbing occurred outside of the bar 50 Front Street, the former Blue Martini, in Newburgh. The victim, a 35-year-old man from New Windsor, was stabbed in the stomach.

Authorities are not releasing the man’s name. He was transported to the hospital in a private car.

The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call City of Newburgh Police at 845-561-3131.
