A string of Hudson Valley bank robberies over the past few months has people wondering if there's a connection. The Chase Bank in the town of Newburgh was robbed Tuesday afternoon and authorities are looking for clues. The Times Herald Record reports the masked suspect was armed and fled in a red car.

Customers arriving to do their banking were greeted by yellow crime scene tape. Their concern was not on their own inconvenience but the well being of bank employees. Witnesses reported the suspect carried a revolver and made off with an undetermined amount of money.

Back in July an M & T Bank was robbed in New Hampton followed by a Chase robbery in Wallkill on Route 211 a few days later. Then on December 15th a Citizens Bank was held up on Broadway near the most recent crime scene in Newburgh. No arrests have been made in any of these previous cases.
