A self-proclaimed Hudson Valley gang member was arrested after a number of people were found covered in blood.

On Friday around midnight, a Monroe police officer found four people covered in blood on North Main Street near the Mobil gas station in Monroe.

The officer was told that one of the four people was the victim of a stabbing and another person who was stabbed was in serious condition inside a home on North Main Street.

Inside the home was a 21-year-old man who was stabbed in his chest, police say.

Other arriving officers were told that the stabber fled to a nearby wooded area.

With the help of K-9 Simba, Fredy’s Gutierrez-Zomora of Monroe, a self-proclaimed MS-13 gang member, was soon found and arrested. His bloody clothing was tossed in the woods, police say.

Zomora got into an argument with one of the victims, chased him with a knife through the Mobil parking lot and stabbed the man in the chest while shouting “MS-13,” officials say.

When the unnamed victim’s friend went to help, Zomora is accused of slashing the friend with a knife and fleeing.

Zomora was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon, felonies. Bail was set at $500,000.

An update on condition of the man who was stabbed in the chest was not released.
