Police: Shooting at Newburgh Waterfront

According to police there was a shooting at the Newburgh Waterfront that resulted in multiple people being taken to the Hospital.

The Times Herald Record reports that the shooting was one of two incidents that happened this weekend in the City of Newburgh. According to reports, there was an altercation at the Newburgh Waterfront on Front Street around 1:30 am early Saturday morning. The incident resulted in guns being fired with multiple people being transported to St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital.

The other incident happened a half hour later at the intersection of Broad Street and Grand Street in the city. That shooting claimed one victim who was also being treated at St. Luke's.

Violent incidents seem to be on the rise in Newburgh. These recent altercations come after another shooting last week at the Oasis Sports Bar on Broadway in Newburgh.  That early-morning shootout sent five people to the hospital.
