Police are currently searching for a home invasion suspect in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

The Poughkeepsie Journal reports several agencies have organized a manhunt in the area. The search involves K-9 units and additional assistance from New York State Police.

Poughkeepsie resident and WRRV listener Christian Golden had this to say about the search. Police just stopped by his residence.

Cops just stopped by my house (Poughkeepsie near salt point) looking for (the suspect). He's not a missing person. He's the suspect of a home invasion. Cops say to assume this guy is the worst of the worst. Be careful. He dumped his car on Van Wagner. Believed to be in the woods around North Grand/Salt Point area.

The story is developing and we'll fill you in as more information is available.
