Police in Ulster County saved a woman from an heroin overdose early Thursday morning. 

Saugerties Police were dispatched close to 1:00 am Thursday for a report of a female who had overdosed on heroin.

Once on the scene, officers located the unconscious 30 year-old female of an apparent heroin overdose.

Officers administered Narcan, which was successful in reviving the victim. The female was transported Health Alliance Hospital in Kingston by ambulance for further evaluation.

Police officers in the Hudson Valley have saved multiple people from heroin overdoses in recent months. Just two weeks ago, Saugerties Police saved another person who had overdose in a parking lot.
