Police say an Ulster County woman crossed over the double yellow lines and hit a truck operated by a teenager. The woman was airlifted to Albany Med.

An investigation by Saugerties police determined that a 2004 Nissan Sentra being operated by 21-year-old Jessica L. Grant, from Saugerties was traveling North on Route 32 when in Quarryville Tuesday evening. Grant is accused of crossing the double yellow and into the south bound lane and striking a 2006 Ford F350 pickup truck driven by 18-year-old David G. Rodriguez, of Dover, New Jersey.

Grant sustained a head injury in the accident. She was treated at the scene by paramedics from DIAZ Ambulance and then airlifted by helicopter to Albany Medical Center.

A passenger in Grant’s vehicle, Rodriquez and another passenger in his vehicle, were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Saugerties Police is continuing their investigation in to the events that lead to Grant crossing over into the South bound Lane of S/R 32.
