The final season of a popular HBO series will have a storyline in Poughkeepsie.

You may remember seeing film crews in our area over the summer shooting scenes for the upcoming season of the smash-hit series "Girls." Well now it looks like those scenes may be part of a storyline that takes the characters on a trip to the Hudson Valley.

HBO has announced that the final season of "Girls" will debut on February 12 with the second episode taking place in Poughkeepsie. A description for the episode titled "Hostage Situation" has been posted on ScreenCrush:

Hannah (Lena Dunham) provides cover for Marnie’s (Allison Williams) secret weekender to Poughkeepsie, which she hopes will help clarify an old chapter in her life. Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) enlists Elijah (Andrew Rannells) to be her plus-one at a networking event for young professional women, where Jessa’s (Jemima Kirke) antics lead Shosh to reevaluate her post-college friendships.

The crew from "Girls" spent time filming at Fishkill Farms in September. At the time there was no indication what the storyline would be. Now we know that a weekend trip to the Hudson Valley is in store. It's not clear if the scenes are part of this episode or an upcoming storyline. There bay very well be more trips to our area planned for Hannah and her friends, so we'll have to stay tuned to find out.
