Prophets of Rage Announce Intimate September Gigs Including NYC’s Apollo Theater

Prophets of Rage have been energizing fans with their uncompromising stage shows. The supergroup comprised of members from Public Enemy, Rage Against the Machine and Cypress Hill have been making their mark on the festival circuit, playing for huge crowds across the globe. Today, the band has announced plans to play dates in smaller, more intimate clubs this fall.

The group will be playing several dates in September, including Boston's Paradise Rock Club, Asbury Park's Stone Pony, Philadelphia's TLA and New York City's legendary Apollo Theater. Each of these venues carry a lot of history and will provide for a completely different experience than the band's already announced tour dates.

Prophets of Rage are set to release their self-titled debut album on Sept. 15, which falls right after these club dates. They've been building up to the release with a handful of killer singles and videos. Yesterday, we saw the effective and emotional, mixed media visual for "Living on the 110." Last month, they released the Michael Moore-directed video for "Unf-k the World." The group has also been announced as part of this year's lineup for Ozzfest Meets Knotfest in California, and other festivals like Riot Fest, Louder Than Life and Houston Open Air.

The band promises to bring "sonic resistance" with their new record, and have claimed their purpose is now to write the "soundtrack" for the movement that dethrones the Trump administration.
