Cornwall Police are advising residents to stay away from wild animals.  A raccoon and woodchuck in the Mountainville area have tested positive for rabies.  If you are bitten or scratched by an animal, contact the Orange County Health Department 845-291-2332.

It's not known if these animals have infected any others, but there is a chance that they have.  If you see a wild animal acting strangely and you live in the Town of Cornwall, call the police at 845-534-8100.

Rabies is a fatal disease that can be transmitted to humans.  I searched for video on the subject, but most of it was really gruesome.  Thanks to the YouTube, I bring you this gem.
