Rare Saturday Opening For CIA Bakery & How To Order Holiday Pies

So you have been hearing things about the Culinary Institute of America Apple Pie Bakery, but you haven't been able to check it out because it's only open weekdays?

November 19, Saturday, is the one day during 2016, that the Apple Pie Bakery & Cafe will be open for business, 7:30AM to 5PM.

Keep in mind that this is the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Every year the bakery/cafe sells pies for your Thanksgiving dinner, but they need to be ordered in advance. The deadline to order & pay for your pies is Friday November 18, with a pick up date of Nov 21 & 22. Pies are available either fresh or frozen, so you can bake them yourself. You will need to specify fresh or frozen when you order them. You can order pies either in person or by calling, (845) 905-4500.

The pies that are available for order included multiple types of apple, pumpkin and pecan. Sugar-free and gluten-free pies are also available, as are other sweet and savory items, ie Pumpkin Cheesecake, Pumpkin Mousse Cake, Corn Bread Pudding, to name just a few.
