If you ride the train in the Hudson Valley, you're probably going to be paying more per ride in 2017. The MTA has released their proposed budget for next year, and they're calling for additional fees to even out their balance sheet.

While rates will be going up, this is the smallest proposed increase since 2009. Right around half of their annual 15.6 billion budget comes from revenue from tolls. Subways, buses and the Staten Island Railway would all be affected by the increases.
