Real Hudson Valley Families Needed For TV Commercials

Real Hudson Valley families of all types are being sought for several commercials being filmed throughout the Hudson Valley this month.

Hudson Valley Casting is looking for people to appear in a new series of commercials for the New York State Tourism Board. The "I Love NY" commercials will depict families of all different ethnicities and types enjoying some of the fun things New York State has to offer.

The posting states that producers are looking for either actual families or individuals that can be paired together to "create" a family for the commercial. Actors can be either union or non-union and children under 18 will be required to obtain a NY State performers work permit, something the producers can assist you in obtaining. If chosen, the pay rate is $671.71 for principal actors and $366.35 for extras.

Local shoots include the following:

Rocking Horse Ranch in Highland, NY
The shoot will take place on May 21. Actors are needed to portray a family of four to five members with parents in their 30's or 40's. Siblings with both boy and girl in elementary school that is willing to ride a horse.

Storm King Arts Center
The shoot will take place on May 19. Parents in their 30's or 40's are needed with one boy and one girl as children ages 3 and 5.

Hunter Mountain
A family of three or four individuals are needed to zipline at Hunter Mountain. Parents should be in their 30's or 40's and kids should be teenage. This shoot takes place on May 22.

Glenmere Mansion in Chester NY
Parents with our without a Dad are needed for a shoot on May 19. There is also a need for a daughter that is of elementary school age.

Those wishing to be considered for any of the above roles should submit separate photos for each individual that are properly labeled with the family name. Also be sure to include any links for videos of the individuals as well.

The body of the email needs to list your family name, your email, phone number, heights of those applying, age ranges and your home address. The information should all be sent to tourismfamilies@gmail.com with thee subject reading "TOURISM, (FAMILY NAME), (LOCATION OF SHOOT)"
